Both iPad 1 and Android on Galaxy S3:
Bart retry screen every single time at start, sometimes more than once to get in, most ever took three times to get in.
Android crashes less than iPad, but both crash when setting tasks, collecting money, or visiting friends.
Interestingly, you can reduce the number of crashes if you stop tapping when you get a warning signal - either if the screen / character movement freezes or the background music stutters. If that happens, stop tapping or swiping immediately and wait 30 seconds - I've dodged a number of crashes that way.
But it's still way more unstable than normal since the 4th of July event finished.
I blame Abe Lincoln for getting mad at Homer, or George Washington for accidentally cutting a fibre optic cable with his axe.
