Anyone else struggling?

I started at the beginning of the event so I'm actually a little ahead of the requirements but there is definitely a lack of ways to get the needed crafting and prize items, it's just a matter of slogging on, maybe this is EA's aanswer to all those who complain on the forum about the event being too easy and finishing a week early, simply reduce the amount of collectables so no one finishes to quickly.

Here's the calendar to check (monday start). Also there are daily tasks that award 1100 in event currency. I have yet to get one, but you could try dismissing tasks until you do. I believe you can hold onto a max of 3 tasks and keep dismissing one per day.

This. I was behind in two of my towns until getting the "Tap the anomaly" task for 1100 dark matter. It's worth trying the above :)

I found the last event to be a struggle, particularly in my freemium town. This one is impossible. The second town will probably miss the last two prizes of this Act. It seems a bit off to program the event so that players need to log in every 4 hours 24/7 Hopefully EA will modify the robot parts and dark matter requirements.

I’m absolutely sympathetic to folks that are falling behind in this event for whatever reason, but I’d dispute the notion that in order to keep pace you need to log in “every 4 hours 24/7” or, for that matter, anything even approaching that commitment level. I’m playing the event without the use of donuts to speed things up and checking in about 2-3 times a day (typical for me) and the last time I checked I was a little ahead of where I need to be.

I know this is always met with disdain - but if finishing the act is important to you, you could always get the card that doubles friend visits. I only did that once for an event I was struggling with, and it helped me catch up and then get ahead. The robot burns premium also pays out event currency throughout the quest-line. Good luck!
same goes for the super collider quest line
  • I started on time and I'm typically ahead of schedule, but this event I'm behind and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
  • I took a look at my neighbors this evening just see how many were “behind the power curve” according to LPN’s calendar and was surprised to see that nearly 50% were significantly lagging (which I defined as more than 1000 or more black matter units less than what LPN prescribed).
  • Getting Daily Challenges that give you 1100 Matter gives you more matter than you get from an entire day of Alternate Homers. Crazy.

    I'm at 16,900.
  • I'm way behind as well....missed the first 2 days, and struggling to catch up now.
Still long way to go. I'm at 9772 now. Should be at 12950. Not sure if I'm going to get the card....don't think I will be able to catch-up otherwise?
  • I am at 16,679. I have had not any challenges that pay Dark Matter just yet, just one ones for donuts or Future Bucks.

Exact same situation with my friends. Most on today Tuesday 23rd are between 2,000 and 8,000 dark matter.
