Anyone gotten Friend D'nuts since event start?

I got a donut and a spade at the same time so dont really know how much truth there is to that.
Though i am wondering if my spade count goes down even if the neighbor is not in the event yet or have gotten to that part yet. dont think i went through 30 neighbors playing the event, but tapped my other neighbors for money as well... and no more spades.
