- I love this event! We can build entire entertainment districts because of the event! Many great and popular new characters, funny story-lines. This event is even better than... Easter 2014 event!

There should be a code name for that event. Sort of the way actors refer to McB... as "the Scottish play".- I don't really love what I consider to be an excessive amount of casinos, but events are usually fun to me. This one is definitely more complex than previous events, but I'm not sure if that is fun or bad.
I wish all of the casinos fit on the Squidport the way Burns' Casino does. I thought I had this great idea for all of them there and was pretty bummed when I got more and realized it wouldn't work. Ricmac68 wrote:

Yup - apart from the stupid levelling up on the crafting. I didn't think it was possible to make crafting worse, but, hats off to EA, they have managed it. Overall though, I can overlook that, as I'm getting lots of crafting currency. All in all, a great event IMHO :D
The crafting idea is terrible...I barely made the end of Act one (no boughnuts and didn't complete Monorail until Sunday)
I dislike grinding events. Give me the newer mini events.
I'm pretty sure the whole 'leveling' of crafting and limiting the craftables & resources is in fact to allow players to take a step away from the simple regular grinding.
By injecting a simplistic resource management function via the levels and constraints, players can actually strategize a bit, plan how much they want to 'grind' for resources, how much of any given resource to spend at any given time, and how much to save. Choose to spend all your lucky horseshoe key rings on Walk of Fame Stars? Or save them all up in order to unlock the higher crafting levels quicker so you can apply all your precious resources to something more desirable. See how that works?
Me, I spend my resources as soon as an item is available in order to acquire club cards faster. I'm on target (per the event calendar found in the guide/walkthrough) to finish this event with all non-premium prizes. I don't sweat the premium stuff.
All in all, I'm really enjoying this event.MuleHeadJoe wrote:

Agreed. I'm not feeling forced to grind at all. In fact I'm frequently surprised to find that I've yet again accumulated enough resources to level up another bar.- Its given us more missions for characters as well as 2 mini games to earn more chips that get us closer to getting the prizes faster
- Muhsterino9 years agoRetired HeroI like the event - some cool buildings and decorations.
Good points:
Only need to log in every 4 hours to redo tasks at the casino and clear gamblers.
Finally a use for Paris Texan, makes getting to the billion more satisfying.
I actually like the strategy aspect of upgrading and crafting, which I will do late in act 3
People get benefit from having premium characters that can do casino tasks
Some buildings able to be placed on squidport
Not-so-good point:
Why the same characters with tasks at the casino for every act? As others have said, it makes the railyard tasks much more time consuming. - I think it's OK, it's OK prizes, not too much stress but also a bit meh. :) The biggest problem I got with this event is how I'm going to design.
- I dont mind this event tbf, shame about the usual crafting stuff but apart from that the prizes are quite good, liking the new characters.
