Barney

Been wating for years to buy him. I have to save donuts and it's hard (low multiplier, like 200%) and I don't like KEM Farming because I hate how Messy the towns look with money and exp farms. But my question is why is he so expensive? does he worth the 250 donuts? he has never had a rebate of any sort :(

Just a different perspective, but I am always going to opt for a character over a building.

what if that building came with 100% multiplier?

There was a bundle offer in January 2016 during the Deep Space Homer event of the Bowlarama, Barney and Astonaut Barney skin for 250D with a 130D rebate, so a net cost of 120D.

Wow is that how much he costs, that does seem really expensive, I was able to get him when he was a prize in the first winter event. He is no different to any other premium character really, with all of his task earning double amounts. He doesn't contribute to heights or the monorail in any way either.

His tasks do not earn double amounts, they pay the usual 'premium' amounts.
He DOES help out with Springfield Heights jobs, he has an 8 hour job for pills.

Sorry about that, its not quite double, don't know why I thought it was.
Also, he does not seem to show up in my Springfield heights tasks.

    Thanks for the corrections :)

  • He burps and lays in the gutter drunk and says some pretty funny lines. I think I waited a year before I spent real money and finally got him. It's nice to have the bowling alley too. I think Barney is a fan thing, if you're a fan of the Simpson's and you want him in your collection, then it's gonna be a little more pricey than the others. I stiff haven't bought Duffman. I just don't care either way.

I know you’ll disagree, @PatrickSays (and that’s fine, of course), but even under those rather extreme circumstances, if I could only choose one or the other, I’d go with the character. Ultimately I’m more interested in what’s in my SF than in how much currency it’s generating.
  • Honestly, donuts are sooooo much easier to get these days. There really shouldn't be any complaints, Barney and the alley are both great. As an android player it was never available for free, so I had to scrimp and save for almost a year to buy it.
