I dont really have any strategy towards this event, i basically send one nerd to each "random" town and tap whatever is available and move on, sometimes it pays out big sometimes it doesnt but it got me through this event quite easily :D
There are plenty of threads dotted about suggesting all different ways to play this event, I would say try as many different ways as you can and go with what works best for you :D
