Simple mathematics will show us which item is more of the bottleneck.
For me, math goes like this:
- for entire event I need 700 chocolate bars
- so far I earned 416 - spent 50 on spooky house, stockpiled 366, need 284 more for grand pumpkin and rigelian hut
- for entire event I need 1400 fences (note that this is double amount of chocolate bars)
- so far I earned 1012 - spent 600 on hugo and spooky house, have 412 so rigelian queen should be ready when it is available, need 388 more for rigelian hut
fences ratio 1012 / 388 is a lot better then bars ratio 416 / 284. In fact, given that we haven't yet entered last third of the event, I think I will obtain 388 fences several days before I obtain 284 chocolate bars.
That proves that bars are real bottleneck (at least for me, and as far as I can see, majority of players). Now the question is, which item (of those which require chocolate bars) to build first: rigelian hut or the grand pumpkin. Since rigelian hut generates new rigelians and thus increases chances to earn additional bags until the end of event, the answer is easy: rigelian hut should be priority. Therefore I am holding off crafting of grand pumpkin and waiting for Friday for rest of the items to be available.
So my crafting strategy for the rest of the event goes like this:
- hold off crafting of grand pumpkin
- craft rigelian queen as soon as she is available
- craft rigelian hut as soon as it is available or as soon as I gather enough fences
- earn additional chocolate bars, as well as rotten eggs and additional fences (in other words - don't spend other ingredients yet)
- craft grand pumpkin as soon as I have enough of chocolate bars
- if by any chance I do not gather enough bars by the end of the event, near the end of event I'll use additional fences and eggs to craft gold bags (that option will be available in last part of the event)
- if I still cannot craft grand pumpkin, I will probably buy it off with donuts (I think it shouldn't be big amount as I will probably be close)
- any ingredients left after crafting all the main items, I'll use for small items (walls, shrubs etc.), whichever I found more useful and appealing
I think this strategy is good for most of the players out there as most of players are stronger with fences then with the bars. If by any chance some of you (as OP) is not going strong with the fences, they should still go with "try to obtain rigelian hut before grand pumpkin" strategy as described above, as it is useful building, and if you do not succeed, grand pumpkin is always available, and then you may use donuts for the hut.
