- Pretty sure you always get partial. Rewards. I don't think I've had any that haven't been blocked yet as I've only been getting small rewards but its also n possible to keep track of who you've attacked and where the rewards are even coming from...

So yes, if your nerds aren't successful in destroying the buildings you set them to attack in random/neighbor towns, you do still get elixir/gold, but it is a smaller amount than if they are successful.
In fact, the majority of the nerds you send out to attack will likely fail (especially early on in the event). That's why the consensus seems to be that sending one nerd per building is the wise thing to do. That way you at least get some reward for each nerd. If you were to send multiple nerds to attack one building, and that building is successfully defended by the owner, you would still get the same payout as if you had sent only one nerd.
Good info! Thanks for sharing!- So it is most beneficial to go on random towns if none of us defend.

Thanks for the info!
I was wondering the same thing!- Thanks a lot for the information.
And when we attack and fail the nerds are gone as well...what if we win? Do they come back or lost as well? - mikepellerin60Seasoned Newcomer

The Nerds are expendable. They don't come back. Also the more Nerds you have in inventory when you begin an attack, lessens the completion time. ex: 20+ Nerds in inventory would result in a 9hr completion time for one Nerd, but 10- would result in a 23hr completion time for 1 Nerd.
I hope that made sense. - Thanks Mike, added the info to my discussion topic.

I'm always short of nerds because I use them all as soon as they are created, I think the higher completion times depend on the enemy city's castle level (some levels add defense to your town, meaning more hours for all buildings to be destroyed).- All buildings? Or just the castle?
