- Yes, definitely. Takes longer but can be done:)
- 4junk3000New SpectatorI've always been a free ium player and ive never had a house farm. Ive usually always set my characters in intervals daily of 12 hrs and 4 hrs during events that require more intensive participation.
If you look at the links in my Sig you can see examples of what I was able to build without buying donuts.
Remember, is your object to play the game and have fun, or to reach the end as quickly as possible? If you believe the first choice, then donuts should only be spent to acquire premium features which you really like, and never for accelerating tasks. - I can also state I don't use doughnuts to speed up game play. I just use them for a extra character that I like and want or something I find would look cool in my Springfield. So far as for flying premium content nothing has looked as cool as the ghost pirate airship. Was so glad I bought it as who doesn't want a flying ghost pirate ship lol mine usually floats above rusty studios as a movie prop. But yeah I'd suggest only use them sprinkles for stuff you want like that. Friends list full but I always ,are room near after events when ppl not on for a month or two. And into next event.

the houses and biuldings get more and more expensive with every purchase. This forces the player to whip out the all mighty credit card and buy doughtnuts.
But, donuts would only help that situation if you buy in-game cash with... Please don't tell me you're buying worthless cash with precious pastries!- It depends on your expectations. Personally I like having everything I feel like I need in my Springfield - you can get nice stuff by waiting but not enough to satisfy me. However, donuts are too expensive. And land is scarce still. So making more choices now.
- I would say no. You cant enjoy the game without embracing the dark side...EA will own your soul one way or another!
*evil cackle*  - I say absolutely yes. :) I enjoyed it for quite some time before I dove into the darkness of premium items. :)

I believe it.- I'd turn this question around, what possible enjoyment could you get from this game if you actually buy donuts? Buying donuts removes any sort of challenge from the game and as far as I'm concerned would make it into something with very limited appeal. I have remained a 100% free player and I have many of the premium characters and even a few premium decorations. It just takes time and patience. Planning how to optimise resource generation is the main aspect of the game that appeals to me.

EA owned my soul with too many Need for Speed games, then TSTO. I still am not that fond of EA as a company, but they sure do have some fun pieces of programming thrown our way often enough. :)
