- Ah ok well hopefully this connection issue gets resolved sharpish because it' annoying me lol. It just seems weird and ridiculous that it would just crash on me and then prevent me from jumping back in for what's nearing 48 hours!
- Ahhhhh this is driving me nuts, every time Bart comes up holding the CAT 5 Ethernet cable I feel like I want to punch him square in the face lol
- Got mine running again just now by putting my iPad time to a US time zone then back to normal (Hobart) and it is working again. It has taken away the thanksgiving talk from homer - hopefully next time it tries to upgrade it will work properly.
- Died again :(
Let's me get as far as placing the balloon now then dies - How is this for irony, i update the app which provides me a new splash screen ......... but still I can't connect to the server..... what the hell is going on? :(
- This is absolutely ridiculous, I still can't connect. I woke up this morning in the hope that it would be fixed (the third consecutive day of this connection error) and nothing. This isn't funny any more, quite the contrary it is REALLY starting to annoy me and what's worse there has been no word from EA on the subject... not one that I've heard anyway!
- RIGHT THAT'S IT! I've had it... It's been a whole week and I have been unable to connect to the bloody server, the irony I suppose is that I HAVE been able to download the in-game updates, SUGGESTING SERVER CONNECTIVITY. I swear to god IF NOTHING IS DONE TO RESOLVE THIS BY THE 20th of November then I'm calling it quits on this stupid game as it's not worth my time.....
I realise that obviously I'm just one person but still, bearing in mind, the ripple effect; one person can make a difference...
It's just not good enough on EA's part... there should at the very least be weekly progress updates and we shouldn't just have to take it on faith that they are resolving the issue! To that note, they should have fixed this ages ago, there should be no server connectivity issues whatsoever! The should have employed logic to deduce the fact that there were bound to be several million users, using the application, given The Simpsons popularity and they should have adjust their Server Capacity accordingly!
I guarantee you EA, other iPad / iPhone App companies utilizing the same cross platform technique with their servers DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM!

- No it isn't ... I live in Melbourne Australia and I can tell you right now that it isn't fixed i.e. I can not connect to the server...
I've tried turning my iPad off and on reconnecting my WiFi, resetting my modem.... nothing works! - Well I got the new update and a new character (fat tony) and it works perfect for me now.
