I may wait till it starts snowing in the game. They look prettier then.

The house lights were paid for with event coins in Dec 2012 during Xms 2013 we had to spin the wheel of doom or pay donuts for the lights belonging to premium buildings.
In RL some people have the lights on already in this area. Personally I'd prefer they kept them unlighted till December at least or not at all. This area is in the "tours" to see the Xmas lights. Not nice when they keep them on over night and you can sleep from the glare. Argh!
