Christmas lights and decorations

In real life, I find many people put their lights up in mid November. Where I am in Canada, most people feel they should wait until the Santa Claus Parade (which is usually the 2nd weekend in November).

Where in Canada are you. Because where I am a lot of people had there stupid lights up weeks ago. I have been looking at one of those jesus scenes across the street for almost a month now. :x And Yes, i am one of those people that it bothers if you put that crap up the day after halloween and don't take it down until march (my neighbours across the street are those people). But it seems to be a thing in the area I live in. WTH?

I'm with you Panopticnic. One of my neighbors has a huge winter wonderland set up in their yard. It's been there since a little after halloween. It makes me smile every time I walk my dog past it as she growls and barks at the moving decorations.

In my house we put up the tree after Thanksgiving and take it down after New Years. That's all the decorating we do.
