Christmas lights
I played the game a couple of years ago and remember having Christmas lights on houses, but can’t remember how I got them..... now playing again and I’m wondering if I have to do something like a quest or so, to get the lights....

- You may want to check your town & storage for an item called festive light plunger.
It has a large downwards facing arrow. If you have it will turn Xmas lights on/off. - Some buildings with lights listed in this thread:

The plunger only turns on Christmas skins you've already purchased / acquired separately during past winter events. it does nothing without them and kinda lame to sell it without making some of the skins available for newer players.- You had to earn each house’s lights during the second Christmas event. I think. Then they were awarded during later Christmas events. Tap a brown house and see you might already have them.

- Some of the houses (e.g. the Simpsons home) have a skin/facade that can be applied via tapping on the house and selecting it (or by using the Festive Lights Plunger), other have their lights applied automatically via the winter update and finally I'm sorry to say some buildings (actually quit a lot) simply don't have any lights or decorations at all.

If it’s in the Store for donuts for you, I would take it that you don’t already have it. Received mine free from a past Xmas event.
As others have suggested it might be worth tapping main homes such as Simpsons home/Flanders home to see if there is a Xmas facade available to select.- Hi all, tapping houses doesn’t do the trick and I’m not going to spent 55 donuts on a switch of which I’m not sure it will do the trick..... so still no lights ??
