It's gonna be easy for me to do what you suggest, because I don't really want most of the things that are for sale for event currency anyway. So, it's not as if I'm making a sacrifice. I'll work to get lots of soccer balls if that's what it takes.
But just to keep this in perspective -- the requirement to achieve the final community prize is over half a BILLION soccer balls. Also, just meant as an FYI, there has never been a time that the final community prize goal was not reached. The one time it seemed absolutely unattainable, the code was tweaked. (And I mean it had to be a BIG tweak.)
It's fun to work toward it. If nobody puts in any work, then we can hardly complain when EA doesn't offer community prizes. We've been screaming for their return, and now it's time to follow through. I'm confident that we will.
(Seriously. Half a billion. That's billion. With a "B".) Egad.
BTW, here's a statistic ... on the PlayStore page for Tapped Out, it says "Downloads: 10,000,000 - 50,000,000"
Good Grief. Somewhere between 10 million and 50 million? Couldn't they refine that count a little bit? Don't they notice an extra 40 million downloads? I mean, really. ;)- You can also get "soccer balls" when tapping fans, the same as how nerve tonic occasionally drops.
Doing the maths (and trying not to spoil it too much for everyone) - if there's 1m people playing this event full-time (i.e. checking in every 10hrs max to clear the town of fans), we should make it just before the end. The more players, the quicker (obviously!!).
For the record, that's also the rough calculation of Halloween 2013's community prize "player base".
(30b "goo" divided by an ave of 30k "goo" per player over the event. Most full-time players cleared 45k-60k+ "goo")
We cleared Halloween's one with a week to spare (85% of time into event).
Note: Xmas used "presents" instead of the prize currency for community prizes, but we still cleared that with 10 days to spare. (67% of time into event) - Ummm.... what community prize? I see no soccer balls or community prize.

Annette, you and I think the same on this. Plus some of the things in the shop will be winnable for free just like in act I.
By the way that's an American billion your talking about there. :) US that's 10^9. Other places it means 10^12.

I'm not really concerned about getting five star players. It's fun strategizing for matches and to win but I don't worry about where I am in the rankings. Bring on the community prizes. It's been a while since we've had them and I hope they're good. :thumbup: - can multi times get community Prizes? :)
