Couple of questions for a returning player

Hi everyone, i have been away from the game for 4-5 years, i am just in the process of reviving my town from a nuke i did back then and i have a few questions.

1/ Krustyland, whats the deal? It was a separate screen before i left, now can you just build it in your springfield, do people bother? Its a lot of space.

2/ I have a random Krustyland visitor wandering my town but haven’t built it yet any idea why this is?

3/ The new function to send all characters on a job using the office of unemployment is a great addition but i seem to have a few that it doesn’t work for and i still have to do them manually, why is this?

4/ I remember reading about the monorail glitching towns out, is this still the case? Do people bother building it?

5/ the sky finger monument seems a bit pointless its never ready at the right time and i have to tap characters with completed jobs anyway so just collect money when i do that, or am i using it wrong?

Think thats it,

Thanks in advance all
  • Hi, welcome back I returned to the game around 2 years ago after a 18 month break myself, to try and answer the questions, Number 1, yes many people do build Krustyland in Springfield and include all the other ride type items to,
Number 2 no idea, maybe it's just one of those random things,
Number 3 the characters that don't get sent on task via the unemployment office is because they have another available priority task such as the daily task or a quest task,
Number 5 the skyfinger monument is available every 24 hours so the collection time tends to move, I use it to collect buildings as I generally don't task my characters anymore as I'm maxed out on money so don't need to send them on jobs anymore, hopefully that helps and give you some idea of what, Oh the biggest change you'll notice is that all events follow the same model design.
  • Loved whacking day too and the Stonecutters unfortunately I doubt we'll ever see the like of those again, as to the donut producing buildings chances are they'll return at some point as they have already been available more than once, one building to watch for is Golden Goose Realty as at some point you need it to get land tokens to unlock quite a large area of land in the game as the cash purchasable land is limited and the only way to expand is via land tokens but the building only appears appears for sale rarely.

    Welcome back!

Note: If you put out the Krustyland entrance, you can't store it again. So, make sure you want it out. You can make KL as big or small as you like, leaving out what decorations you don't like. It's also a good area to use all the weird decorations that don't make sense in regular SF.

The Sky Finger is a nice bonus, once a day to clear all ( most of ) your building revenue. Making you income and donuts and saving time.

I use the Skyfinger first thing in the morning to clear everything. Saves me a butt load of time.
  • Good idea, thanks mate.

Am i thinking that with the new event format you don’t need friends for them anymore?
Back when i started playing friends were the only real way to progress events

True, neighbours aren't needed for the current event format and if you have all the friend prizes not really needed at all but I find it helpful to have a look around my neighbours for design tips and ideas.
  • Hi, thank you and thanks for all the info. Most helpful. Shame about the events being the same every time, no more whacking days then. Loved that event.

Also on a side note, what are the donut producing buildings i caught some info about and what is the chance of them coming up for purchase again?

Yeah, me too. But the game is super annoying. Sky Finger is useful basically ever other day. As I get more characters and buildings, it just takes longer and longer to collect. And PLEASE, EA, if you give me a send all springfiielders job, give me a button for it. My finger hurts after smacking that dang screen 300= times!
