- I missed out on Endless Bob too but I was able to craft everything that I wanted. I went for the big three first, the farmers market, the gas and gulp, and the houseboat. Then after I got those I started crafting the other stuff. I didn't want the sign or the Homer decoy. I'm pretty happy with what I got.
- Got the boat, that I really, really wanted, Farmer's marked an Gas and Grub. Also got the decoy, 6 corn fields, 8 flower walls, the smoke house and 2 ticket booths. Made one of the a "guard station" for the minimum security prison. Had to priotitize at the end, and decided the Bob sign wasn't something I'd miss, and would never be able to craft enough Cactus patches to use it for something that would add anything to my town, so I went for more corn and wall. Now that the event is not over after all, I'll just se where the event curency takes me, but I won't make more of the booths although it's more or less the only item that require corn.
Was not a member of the Fight Club (although I benefitted from neighbours that was, and therefore had extra seed to send me), but plays too much, and has a job that allows me to log in a few times during work hours. Combined with a few great, mutual seeding, neighbours (thank you all!), and not enough sleep, that probably were the things that got me through.
For a later event, I'd really wish the tasks started before midnight, and if it has to be midnight, I'd really wish the midnight task is always a six hour task, so one gets a chance to sleep and still be able to complete the tasks. I belive one of the worst combinations has been a 4 hour task at midnight, followed by at 1 hour task before lunch, and then one or two 6 hour tasks after that, making it impossible to complete if the bus is late, work is busy or you time your dinner wrong.
Edit: Sorry, I forgot: I did benefit fromt the glitch that give you at least double of task prizes when you use more than one device, not by choice originally (I got the Simpson farm on my iPad, went out, logged in to my iPhone to send my Springfielders on new tasks, got the Simpson farm again, got home, logged on to my iPad again to send them on new tasks -and got my third Simpson farm, wondered where I was going to put them all). So I did this every time I won a prize, leaving me with 2 more prisons and double seeds, rakes and fertilizer/corn/dna/masks. Guess I cheated a bit then, but still no Endless Bob. jmn120176 wrote:
I played the game honestly without cheating, and I just found out about the cheat today. I'll call it that because that's what it is. Crafted one of everything except the welcome bob sign... I couldn't accumulate enough DNA. I grinded through every day, sometimes losing a few minutes of sleep so I could assign overnight 8 hour tasks. And I see people now with over 200,000 BOS and other exorbitant amounts of corn, DNA, and masks.... by cheating. Very aggravating.
If you will indulge me for a moment on a rant and a question: Is there anybody who plays this game honestly any more without cheater towns, cheater glitches, other exploitations of the game to make it easier? I feel like a rare breed.
What's the point of playing if you're just going to skirt the rules to win anyway?
I hate cheaters, too. The worst are those who buy donuts to help them move faster than the others. Is there a worse way to exploit the way the game is set up than that?- I got the farmer's market, gas and grub, houseboat, smokehouse, Bob sign, 2 ticket booths, 5 opera seats ( in addition to the ones awarded) and 6 cane fields. I passed on the cactus patch, flower wall, and Homer decoy. They really didn't interest me that much. I did get all the ones I wanted though. :D
- My current count:
1 of everything
10 cane fields
12 cactus patches
3 extra ticket booths (4 total)
4 extra opera seats (6 total)
Am hoping for 2 more opera seats and however many more cane fields I can get. Could craft 1 opera seat now but that would be an odd number so I'm waiting until I get enough for both. I'd be glad if the event went another week.
Edit: and this is without Endless Bob CLWggg wrote:
As I'm not a member of Fight Club, I knew nothing about Endless Bob until it was too late. But I've just completed my personal goal of crafting one of everything how many others have crafted everything through grinding alone? (I think that makes us members of an even more élite club than the Endless Bob Fight Club ;) )
I have one of all the craftables - and multiples of many (decoy, cactus) - without Fight Club. Didn't know Fight Club existed until too late!- Yes, I think that in the end, it is very possible, but it would take a lot of work for it. I was on task with completing everything, hoping to pull it off until the last two days of the glitch. Then the event was a bit brighter and less stressful - and frankly, events shouldn't be that stressful or task-driven. EA took their time to fix that glitch, a bit intentionally, I think... That Mr. Burns mountain glitch was fixed - fast. I wasn't even aware that there was one until a week after it was fixed!
Also, using donuts to speed up tasks is not cheating in any sense of the game at all and I find it a bit odd that it is called so. Frankly, EA doesn't mind that I purchase donuts for that reason as well. I usually rush the first part of any event just to get the ball rolling to be able to leave items for my neighbors as soon as possible and have my town set up for event-related neighbor visits. I usually am on of the last ones to update my town as well to help out my neighbors, but this time, I just may be one of the first ;) - Meh, I got the three items I wanted on my premium board but only two on the other, I knew about the "glitch" but had no idea how to use it. In my opinion EA made this event incredibly difficult for anyone who has a life outside this game (Family, job, likes sleep, etc)or played without the glitch. I was able to get all act prizes but crafting Items was so difficult for me and that was with upgrading the building to 20, the hs to 15, I have just about every premium character on my premium board (I think I'm missing 2) so every character that could be on missions were 24/7 and I visit my friends everyday but yet I still just squeaked by. In all tho I really enjoyed this event and kudos to those who were able to craft so much, I've seen some really cool designs on friends boards with some of the smaller items! :)
