Create your own splashscreen

me either - but I thought this might catch on with the people who do photoshop

My splash screen was only bare for a few seconds then corrected itself. :cry:

This IS a great idea!

Maybe you could add the word CONTEST to the title, and a little competitive spirit will become more motivating. It can be open-ended, meaning no start or end dates. People can submit any time and popular vote will declare a title-holder for "best so far"

P.s. you don't need Photoshop. It can be done with MS Paint. Just open the background in one paint window, then copy any image you want to add, and paste it into the window then drag and rescale into position. It will look best if the foreground image is on a white background. Then select transparent pasting so the white disappears.

In this demo pic, i just had to recolor Homer's eye white manually, because the transparent allowed it to look blue from the sky behind him. Took 2 minutes to make this:

that's hilarious! i can actually hear Frye yelling in my mind.

But i think i wouldve used Bender's hand rather than standard Skyfinger! "Bite my shiny metal..."
