I don't think I'm going to get very far with this update as I can't tap my castle every 2 hours when I'm at work and I'm not setting an alarm for when I'm asleep.

That button takes you to strangers their Springfield. they will be labeled as 'invader' so you can not see their username. Same for the 'invaders' that pop up in your town. Just random strangers.

No, there is no way of earning gold quickly. There are two ways of earning gold:
1. You attack other Springfields with Nerds. If the buidlings aren't defended throughout the hours that your nerds need to demolish a building, you'll earn fifty coins per destroyed building. Otherwise just 1 coin
2. Defend your houses. If you defend a house from being destroyes, you'll get 10 gold. Repairing a complete destroyed house gives you 5 gold.
