- I don't really need my tablet to shout "Better them than me!" in the middle of a class. I keep notifications off.
- I've turned mine off. My husband hated hearing them (I play on Android now) so I disabled them.
- I have them on, but with 5 kids in this house (I'm the mom) it's just more chaos that gets lost in the background noise most of the time. The game runs on my Kindle, so I don't have it with me out and about, or if I do I rarely have WiFi, so the notifications don't go off. :)
- I hate them so they are turned off. Most of my neighbours are helping the cause by not visiting either ;)
- Wait, yours tell you who/when people visit? Are mine set funny, or am I just not paying enough attention?
- I get all notifications.
Characters coming off jobs.
People visiting me.
Channel 6 or farm ready
My phone is 90% on silent so i just get a little buzz in my pocket :) - I have mine on, but if I am in class or at work I keep my iPad and phone on silent so it doesn't go off.
- Saturday & Sunday notifications are on, Monday - Friday they are off. Somehow I think my backpack yelling "Better them than me!" would lower my street cred with my professors.
- On except when I'm at work when phones are a no-no. They only seem to go off during really awkward moments
- in the elevator surrounded by strangers
- at a restaurant while my order is being taken
- when somebody is asking me for directions, etc.
- when bending over to tie my shoe. Nothing like the downs theme blaring out of my butt pocket
- while participating in under the sheets activities
It scares most of my friends who aren't used to it yet - I was at the Doctor's one day when Homer did the da da da daaaa for the racetrack being ready. It ended up being pretty funny. But had I realized, I would have turned the volume off.
I like the notifications and I don't mind if they're on so long as I am not sleeping or out. I used to play with the volume on a lot more when I started, now, not so much. The notifications are helpful in the early stages when you're trying to save up some money. Now I turn them on because they amuse me.
On my iPad, I have always gotten notification when a friend has visited. But on Android, it only started up during Halloween. Homer used to say "Visitors! I better put on some pants!" But i'm not sure what he says now.
