I thought this too originally, but I decided many months ago to try it in my B-town. Besides the other benefits mentioned, there are more decorating options because, for example, cars can go on pavement, and so can bushes, and trees etc.

You can "paint" the pavement right over the existing roads to get started. Try a section to see if you like it.

I hadn't even thought about that. That makes it even easier...

Can I make an addendum to this? If you do pave over your streets, leave your streets near your freaking landing zone so we're not searching all over for it!

Just remembered... If you do start replacing street, you'll want to leave some near places you have people tasked on short time tasks. Like the SH buildings and the recycling buildings. That keeps them from wandering off to get on the roads.

I noticed this in some neighbor's towns. Will give it a try!

I have seen some of my neighbours do this - it sometimes makes it easier to find them and sometimes doesn't. In the cases where it doesn't, the nightmares are even harder to find because they disperse throughout the neighbours towns and have more places to hide.

Your town is by far the easiest to visit from my list of 100.

As for getting rid of my streets... my Springfield is small (I buy minimum land and store anything that doesn't benefit the all mighty grind for dollars/xp/donuts), so I don't think it's a pain from watching my gf play, but if people complain I can remove more streets (happy to do this, so my neighbors feel free to give thoughts).
