The bonuses you (are supposed to) get with premium items do not apply to the cash/XP you pick up in Friends' towns. No matter what you tap, you get the same reward.
Also Nine9Nines is right about the benefit your friends get when you tap the longest duration buildings - it does indeed reset the clock sooner that if your friend had waited & tapped it themselves.
However, I feel that vandalizing the school, police station, town hall and Moe's is best because that is the only way for your friend to collect cash on those buildings. They do not pay out otherwise. It also helps your friend raise their Righteousness meter, allowing them to attain their glorious 5 stars.
