Cosigned wholeheartedly. I hate that I'm starting to really dislike EA. I've never been a big complainer when it comes to this game or any other EA game. I've always liked a lot of their games and I've always been willing to fork out money. I'm not one of those people who complains about premium stuff. Most of the stuff in this game is free. In fact, I kind of like the idea of premium objects. I like saving up my money and buying things in this game. It's gratifying and I enjoy getting something out of it that is special. That's what being a premium player is all about. This event has taken that premise and destroyed it. It has removed all incentive to play premium during events. I have spent around 150 donuts on this event and I have nothing but Bunny #24601 to show for it. I know of other players on this forum who have spent double, even quadruple what I have spent and have ended up with nothing at all. That's not "premium" gameplay. That's a rip-off. This game is not advertised or categorized as a gambling game. If loyal premium players are going to trust EA not to rip them off, EA ought to have the decency to better the odds for premium players or to at least remove the lame prizes from the boxes after we win a certain amount. Every good thing I've won in this event (minus Bunny #24601) has been won with free eggs. I hope EA understands that they've made premium purchases during events completely pointless. I will not be making this same mistake in the future and I'm sure many others who bought the rigged eggs feel the same. EA may have made a lot of money off of us in the short term, but they're going to lose a lot in the long term. I will not pay for anymore chance games from EA. If they only made the odds slightly better for premium eggs, they may have ensured my continued business during future chance-based events. Alas, they did not and now I know better than to trust them. I hope they develop a different system for events, where premium objects are available to buy with donuts, with no gambling involved. Something like the community prizes and prizes you work for, with premium stuff available to buy for those who want it, would be much better for premium and freemium players alike. From what I've been reading, this event has seriously frustrated both premium and freemium players. Not many people are enjoying it. EA ought to listen to their customers. *end rant*

Did the same and got pretty much the same in my son's town. And lots of blue eggs. Traded those suckers in for pink ones and got a pink box too. Finally, Johnny Fiestas. :shock:

I think that this was planned ahead of time, like anonSimpson said. I'm going to get all tin-foil hat on you :wink:, but I think they planned this ahead because they knew they could milk people with the more profitable common color eggs (people spend more money on them because you need more of them to get the gold eggs). My theory is that they're just throwing the gold eggs in at the last minute to 1) make it look like they care about us lowly players and 2) to make a last minute profit off of people who lost big with the common eggs who think that their odds will change with the gold eggs and the people who have been holding off on buying eggs till the end. They're trying to drain that last bit of cash out of us. Yes, I'm very cynical. This event has made me so. :?

If they really wanted to make this event a good one for us they could have changed the no faberge egg = no baskets rule weeks ago.
They could have changed the odds today.

They didn't. They just came up with another kind of lottery ticket for the same abysmal odds.

It's weird. I stepped outside this morning expecting to find EA holding a gun to my head, forcing me to spend donuts on golden eggs. But no. No EA outside, demanding money with menaces.

Instead, I went on Simpsons Tapped Out, saw the option to buy some golden eggs, and thought, 'Na, think I'll pass on that'.

Finally got them, on the fifth go of trying. Welp, 450 doughnuts I won't see again. But I'm happy.

Just saw the golden eggs for sale during my morning tapping before work.
Thought, wow... they were smart offering these for sale.
Then thought.... mmmmmm this is EA, something is not right here.
Then thought let me visit the forum real quick before work.
Read the posts above and glad I did. I would have been a sucker to buy 2 truck loads. LOL
NOW, nope not at all. Same odds, wasn't an update and plus it says the new items to buy are:
Kodos Topiary!!!!! Could have sworn it say 3 new items....... hhmmmm golden eggs say limited time........
They don't say NEW!!!! which means as described above it was already planned in the beginning.

Rake money for uncommon eggs then offer the gold eggs and rake in more money.
Think players would have bought a lot of uncommon eggs to get gold eggs if they knew this would happen?

If those players are angry, than they only have themselves to be angry at. There is still 5 days left on this event. There is no need to buy ANY eggs until the last 1 or 2 days. If you got in an hurry and bought any eggs and didn't get what you wanted, well that's your fault. All these people complaining about the Gold Eggs becoming available for sale later have no reason to be angry with EA.

Actually 4 days now. But Yeah I'm going to wait and if I'm still missing prizes I want by the last 1 or 2 days then I may buy some eggs.
