- Yep... I'm proof of this myself too.
Spent 100 donuts on golden eggs, only to walk away with more junk.
I'm really starting to get fed up with this game ever since this Easter update.
Very frustrating!! :( - So look at it this way,
4550 eggs of any color is 100 donuts.
1000 donuts gets you 45500 eggs, 91 spins
3000 donuts (little more than a boatload) gets you all the easter premiums
Buy 45500 common and uncommon and youll net around 10k golden eggs.
So 100 bucks gets you all the easter stuff during easter versus paying 1600+ donuts after and only getting the buildings ot character? You get tons of stuff for around 2400 donuts in my opinion. They are giving thr fremium players a chance and premium players what they want.
Quit complaining - I bought the 1700 with 25 donuts I had won during the event. I also had 400 more earned. 2100 in total aka 4 turns.
Pink eggs
Fences
Kogo's topiary (my 3rd one)
The pink box game me 300 Gold Eggs
Returning to the Gold Box
250 blue eggs.
What they do essentially is to rob you off all the donuts they gave you during the event. From the start of the Easter event through leveling, fences and neighbours I had "won" 47 donuts.
That being said stay away from this gracious offer! - Well, let's see.
I've opened 11 gold boxes, putting me 70 boxes away from the guarantee for everything.
50 donuts buys approximately 9 gold boxes. So 350 donuts would buy 63 boxes, or almost a guarantee.
Alright, 350 donuts, basically for two characters, since I have one of the three gold characters. Leaving aside that it's the end of the semester and I'm really super broke, are these characters worth 175 donuts apiece?
No. The answer is no.
I hate this event. - bluyoshi88810Seasoned NewcomerFrom the reception, these gold eggs should've made things easier for everyone, but instead it's just making matters worse. Something tells me EA is going to have to extend the event, meaning we're not going to have a Yard Sale tie-in this year :(.

I hope EA understands that they've made premium purchases during events completely pointless.
I suspect this was their actual intention with this event. With whacking day, and again with Halloween '13, people complained that some premium players would speed through the prizes within the first few days then become deadbeat friends for the rest of the event. While this is frustrating for freemium players, the solution is easy: cut the friend loose and replace them with someone who is still participating in the event.
The game based system levels the playing field between premium and freemium players by giving everyone the same odds for winning the prizes. Unfortunately, this basically means that neither freemium or premium players are guaranteed to win all the prizes, which has the affect of driving everyone nuts (to put it mildly). The exception, of course, are those who beat the odds and actually win stuff they want.
I think the cons of having a level playing field FAR outweigh the pros. No-one can get all the decorations and prizes they actually want without being stuck with an inventory full of trash that Spider Pig wouldn't even want, and no-one is guaranteed to win everything. (yeah ok, you get the good ones after 81 tries, but really, what am I supposed to do with all those pastel fences? Or worse, what if I buy enough eggs to get me there and win what I want on try #21? Then I'm stuck with a pile of event currency that will be deleted in just a few days!) Where is the fun in playing a game you know is designed to make you lose?
This makes me appreciate those deadbeat friends I had during whacking day a whole lot more!- Don't buy ANY EGGS! When you buy eggs, you are making this event a financial success! And the purpose of any event is to create an increase in donuts sales by enticing us to buy/win/gamble for limited time special items If this event is a financial success, don't be surprise if you see another event just full of spinning wheels, boxes or slots machines...
I know it's frustrating not to have everything but just how many of those events do you want? If you want EA to stop with the events based on gambling, just stop gambling by buying eggs!
***edit. Not buying eggs is much more effective than signing a petition they won't see or complain in a tread they won't read - I won 126 donuts off of 3 golden scratch tickets and bought 2 truckloads and the next biggest one. First two spins were blue eggs (my common color) needless to say that it pretty much set the tone for the rest of the "prizes" I received. Although I did get a Kang and kodos topiary. Guess I'll have to live without sharry and father Sean
- Spent 100 donuts and got Hugs Bunny, Shary Bobbins and 5 Kang/Kodos topiaries among other things. That's 2 characters and a 7.5% bonus for 100 donuts, but is worth about 340 assuming the characters were 90 donuts each. More than happy and I'm glad I spent the money.
Edit: these were the only two things I needed from the event. kitfisto2121 wrote:
Was Crazy cat lady worth 180?
 Crazy Cat Lady comes with a building, silly goose.
(And I haven't bought her because I don't have the donuts, and I probably won't buy her until I have more premium shops for my consumerism.)
