Ah. That is where we differ. My priority is to get the most possible donuts at all costs. If you are constrained by space and not cash then indeed go for the three donuts!
I've never had any significant house farm and I've kept my town for the most part well designed so I do not have any substantial cash reverse at all.
I keep my credit at one million. After clearing tasks and buildings I spend everything on KEM until I'm back to 1 million. My limiting factor is cash and so the stop at 2 strategy works here.
I should then amend to make it clear, the point of changing strategies is to optimize donuts per cash.
If you are limited by space or time and you just want to offload a bunch of cash then sure, do the three!
If you are grinding for donuts with no reserver cash, take my simulator results!
