I have to agree with statement but I will offer I don't know to what extent the coding has become a day or two kind of fix. Now they had their issues way back when no one ever thought that this game ...

To answer the question posed by the OP in their thread heading: EA is following the successful business model of Microsoft - release something with great fanfare despite its known issues and then spend months or even years patching it before giving up and doing a complete new hash job.
