I just saw that the blocko store is in pink boxes. So do I need a pink basket to get pink eggs? Or do the pink baskets give my neighbors pink eggs for blue ones and I get the blue ones?
No, Pink eggs are more randomly given out. You can find them tapping on bunnies or visiting friends (or a prize from blue I believe). There's also a premium item that generates 300 pink eggs per 24 hours - 65 donuts.
The baskets ONLY payout when your neighbors GIVE you their eggs. Neighbors that give blue egg donations convert to pink eggs, neighbors pink egg donations convert to blue (based on the diagram shown for the event).
Now I'm even more confused! I thought the baskets were for trading eggs??
It is "trading". A neighbor DONATES (i.e. loses an egg) an egg to you. Then when this basket has reached a preset limit (no idea what it is, or how many), then the basket becomes collectable to the owner. So after 10 players donate 10 BLUE eggs, when you collect from the blue basket, it gives you 10 pink eggs - or something of that nature. It doesn't outline 1-1 trade so you might get like 4 pink for 10 blue or something like that. It is essentially a tally of eggs from multiple neighbors converting to the opposite type of egg. You can only cash out when the basket is full.
So a blue basket will convert blue eggs to pink eggs. A pink basket will convert pink eggs to blue. Neighbors fill the respected baskets with the appropriate eggs. The town owner gets the converted eggs. The baskets have to have x amount of donations before the player can cash out.shasurveyi256 wrote:

I had a neighbor drop eggs in both my baskets, but I can't collect them...so now I am even more confused
See above, you can't collect until it is "full". that's what the guide said.GamerGD3 wrote:

That sort of answers my original question, though you don't seem very sure about it.
Is anyone sure about how this works? Which basket will I need to get pink eggs? And do my neighbors lose eggs entirely to the basket, or will they get a different egg back? Because if they lose eggs instead of trading them, I'm not super cool with that.neuroheart wrote:

I am not sure, I am just passing the info on from when you unlock the basket. It's also on the info graphic (center) when you unlock the bunnies. The dialogue made it seem like it wasn't a 1-1 conversion, and it also made it seem like the neighbor doesn't "lose" any eggs - they get some of the reward for filling your basket. Since we have had no one with a full basket, it's hard to decipher what actually happens, if eggs are lost, if the giver does get the eggs back, etc.GamerGD3 wrote:

From tstotopix
Your friends will enter your town to exchange one Easter egg for another. For example if you wanted a pink Easter egg and your neighbour wanted a blue then your neighbour would give you a pink Easter egg while taking a blue Easter eggshasurveyi256 wrote:
Thank you!!!! So as far as we know there is no return to giver (person donating the eggs) other then the hope that that person (gainer) will return the favor at some point?
So I would be surprised to see how many people give away their eggs before clearing the boxes.
According to the dialogue, it made it seem the neighbor would be compensated. I visited all friends immediately after the update hit, so I saw 0 baskets. I hope to test this out in the coming days with my side town. Which was thankfully gifted to me.
So I know EA knows their mistake with the stolen snakes with Lisa's task last year, so I doubt they would allow people to just lose eggs without seeing the reward.- Since it ends may 13 do you think we'll get a whacking sometime in June
After the Easter event is over we will get a tie in before season finale plus season 25 yard sale drosax1 wrote:

That's how I thought it worked.
Okay, so WHICH basket color do I need to get pink eggs? Do friends put pink eggs in pink baskets in exchange for blue eggs? Or do they get blue eggs from blue baskets and leave pink eggs?- Lol. This event so far is like EA showing us how to start a car and turn the steering wheel, and use the gas and brake pedals ... But leaving out the little "details" like no, you don't get to CHOOSE which side of the road to use, and yes, red light means stop, and no, you may not mow down teenage pedestrians just because you hate young people,, and no, you cant drive on the sidewalks during rush hour.
Is it too much to ask for some explanation of their RULES? neuroheart wrote:

... Annette's brain explodes ...- Wow  This is a lot more complicated than I was expecting!
