That will only work if it's the only one in town. You have to store the one he's working his shift in to get him out of it.

It also works if you store the one he came with. When I stored that one, both the duplicates and original show separately in the inventory. Apu stands next to the original one.

To find the original one, click the sell option. If it's only a few hundred bucks, that's the original. If it's like 5000, that's a duplicate.

But yes if you store the one he's working in, he will emerge out free of his task.

Since there is so much confusion about which eggs you get more often:
isn't it possible that different players get different values?
In my Springfield pink eggs are twice as common as blue ones. But in my neighbour's town it could be the other way round.
This would mean that everybody gains by using a basket to exchange eggs.

I've kept careful track of which one is the original, and if I store that one Apu is not stored with it as long as there are others in town. If I store Apu, on the other hand, every KEM is stored and they appear in the storage menu as you describe.
Just one of the many reasons I dislike having so many duplicate KEMs in my town.

I am 100% positive blue are the common Pink are uncommon in my game. I've played since the update hit and been trying to help people out. I've gotten over 600 blue (redeemed 500) and only have 100 pink. So right now my pink count is higher - but that's since I cleared out 500 blue. It also has the Pink generator awarding a lot more pink (since they are harder to get) and also worth more donuts.

Thinking it through:
The ratio of pink to blue eggs must differ in different towns.
Otherwise the baskets make no sense.
Imagine the last days of the event when most of us have gotten all the prizes from the most common color.
Everybody would then try to get rid of these eggs to get the rarer ones.
But if fifty percent of the people need pink eggs while the other half needs blue ones the baskets are great to create a sort of symbiosis betwen players.

With more land it'd be easier to find these little bunnies...

Ugh....I am so confused by all this.....
I hope it makes more sense when I get there.
All the talk of blue boxes, blue eggs , pink baskets are making no sense to me at this point!
