Easter Strategy?

Yep, that seems to be the idea. Get rid of your common eggs!

Just trade whatever your game THINKS is your common color. FTR - I get far more of my uncommon color than I think I should.

Which colour box gives you 100 gold eggs as a prize? And which one gives you 300 gold eggs as a prize?

The colour that gives you only 100 gold eggs is the one you should start to get rid of.

I thought it might make sense to crank through the common color prizes first - stock up on those and THEN worry about the uncommon color.

Since the exchange rate loses you 50% eggs (ie, you trade 100 common for 50 uncommon), this seems like it'd mean you'd get through the common prizes quickest and then could worry about the rest...

I suppose it depends on what your priorities are. For me, the only good common prize is the egg man. So I'm shooting for the top. The uncommon boxes have the higher golden egg pay out which means more chances to get Sherry Bobbins.

Besides, I'll end up getting those common eggs back after I win a few of the unique prizes from the golden boxes. Kinda like the gift cards on the wheel of doom at Christmas except I'll still have prizes to win because I won't have my common prizes yet.

Same here I haven't bought a single blue box just cuz u know the blue eggs are dime a dozen for me so Ill just keep trading them for pinks in my friends towns till I have all the stuff I want from the pink box. Then switch it up. :mrgreen:

I'm clearing my blue (common color for me) box first, then trading in all my blue eggs for pink ones. Then I'm clearing the pink box. Hopefully I'll be well on my way to clearing the gold box by then. I'm not trading in my pinks for blues tho while I'm working on my blue box. I'll cross the pink for blue bridge when I get there. I've noticed that when I trade in my pink for blues, that it slows down my overall box opening speed. I'm opening an average of 4 blues and one pink a day, and with the new egg collecting tasks popping up in the quest line, I expect those numbers to go up even higher.

Would someone tell me if my hypothesis is correct?

Me and my friend both are Blue players (or pink, doesnt matter, has to be the same).
We both start with 400 blue eggs, and 0 pink eggs.
We both drop those eggs into each other's blue baskets: We lose the blue eggs, but receive 200 pink eggs. We return to our towns to collect those baskets.
We still have our 400 blue eggs, but have gained 200 pink eggs.
Rinse and repeat.
The only variable in this theory is the extreme rarity of the baskets.

If we were of opposite colors, dropping our common eggs for the uncommon eggs would mean:
we start at 400 eggs of our color, none of the uncommon.
We end with none of our common color, but 600 of the uncommon: higher chance of golden eggs.
Again, this also depends on an unlimited supply of baskets.
