Edwina's 4hr Job

Wow, didn't realise that Brexit was such a big thing worldwide that it has made in into the Simpsons game lol, I know that most of us in the UK are sick of hearing about it.

Trump and Brexit make many Australians feel relieved that our politics, by comparison, is only mildly stuffed.

The general view of Brexit in Oz is that, regardless of the referendum and election result, the process it took to get there was full of stupid.

    Agree..also an Aussie.

I do have close relatives in the UK & they are strongly in favour of staying in the EOC...which won’t happen of course.

Who or what are the EOC, There is the EEC, which is European Economic Community, and EEA, which is European Economic Area.
I'm guessing it was a typo or auto-correction which is no big deal, but if, and this is a big IF, they have referred to it as EOC, I hate to say it, but I think they have swallowed Remainer lies, I am not aware of an E.U. anything called EOC.

Sorry, was meant to be EU (European Union)...have no idea where EOC came from :o

Your friends probably didn't mind staying in an elitist, extremely over opinionated, (it moderated the word I used), superstate club and being cajoled, bullied and robbed, whereas, the rest of us did.
Incidentally, I thought I'd look up EOC, perhaps it was a subconscious thing you thought of it.
Among the many acronyms, it can stand for Equal Opportunities Commission.
It sounds like it was set up in England and Wales under the Sex and Discrimination Act 1975 and in 2007 or 2009 it became the EHRC, Equality and Human Rights Commission.
From what I found out it sounds like it has nothing to do with the EU, but I only looked at a few sites.
Considering equality laws in Britain, we do not need even more jargon from the EU, what I've read already was heavy going.

That said, I do not disagree with such laws or bodies, if they were not necessary then they would not have been set up in the first place, and unfortunately there were such discrimination that they were necessary.
My reasoning is that because we are self regulating and have done this ourselves, we do not need other countries to impose further regulations upon us, especially when some EU countries wouldn't follow it anyway.
I reread it and thought I should clarify this as it sounded like I disagreed with it.
