Eternal grandpa quests

Its kind of annoying to get a constant bubble from Grandpa thinking it is a new task and then it ends up being that same stupid story thing, not only that but i want to keep my taskbook list as low as possible so I dont understand the need of us to do tasks for Cletus and Grandpa when they dont progress to anything, why cant we just do it on our own like with the rest of the characters? I hope they fix this in the update.
