In my opinion this is false. I collect more schematics when I do both seperately. I have been checking several times know and if I clear them one by one + the scanning device afterwards, I collect 2 to 3 schematics more and seeing how hard they are to get......... :/
My experience concurs. I've realized playing this far into the event, that if I do the scan without clearing MIT first, I receive o additional schematics beyond what the scan rewards. Very annoyed now realizing how many I must have missed this way! They were not clear about the function of the scan, and they bloody well should have been!
