- Wow. Sorry to hear that. I'd be furious.
I had no idea they still let you win a free one after buying one. I DO know that when you win a free one, the donut-one disappears from your store thingamajig. Which makes no sense, business wise. And now YOUR situation makes no sense either.
This event is insane. In every way. - Caveat emptor for sure, but at least let us place both! We can place more than one train, why not more than one egg?

I mean, prior to buying the egg you knew there was a chance of getting it for free so I don't see how that is EA's fault.
But I can think of a good reason to buy one ... We didn't know that finishing the quest meant no more baskets until we found our egg. Days were going by and the chance to get those pink, blue and gold boxes was slipping away. The prizes in those boxes aren't available any other way. So buying the egg was the only way to even HOPE for baskets again. Seems like a wiser choice to me than to watch all those buildings and characters slip away while sitting around waiting for an egg that may never come at all. right?annettemarc wrote:

If you didn't know that finishing the quest means no more baskets until you get the Faberge egg, then why would you buy the egg?Khodro wrote:

Of course I did. But no one told me that the second one would be USELESS and clutter up my inventory. THAT is their fault. If there was a warning, I would have waited. As it stands, I was THRILLED to get the second!!! Until I found out that I couldn't place it.
Why give me a second one??? Hmmm...??? What's the point???
If anything, I would've rather NOT get one. Because I can't do a THING with this one... use it OR sell it.
I won it fair and square... but it's a worthless 'gift'.
Why allow me to win it if I can't use it???Khodro wrote:

It might not have been known initially, but recently, it was posted that there ars no baskets until you get the egg. That's why.emymarek721 wrote:

It's just that in your first post you write that you bought the egg because it was taking too long to get it. It doesn't seem like you were expecting a second egg until you got one through tapping. So you still have exactly what you paid for.
I do however agree with you that the egg should be sellable however this is an issue with event items in general and not just the faberge egg.drumnman wrote:

AGREED!!!- mwdaltonNew SpectatorSo....wait..wait...if a second free Faberg? Egg was waiting to be found after you got the donut one.....does that mean you don't get baskets until after you find the FREE one???? Making 'buying one just to get the baskets dropping again', pointless??

You're right. I have exactly what I paid for. But, if it disappears from the purchasing menu, then they should have followed through and made it disappears from being able to win it. Instead, they ALLOWED me to win it.
Why allow me to win a second egg if they had NO INTENTION of allowing me to use it?
Do you see what I mean? I won it FAIRLY. I should be able to use it.
At the very least, sell it so it doesn't clutter up my inventory. But I can't do EITHER.
At least, with the event items, even though you can't sell them, you can USE them.
I can't do EITHER.
