Perhaps everyone has not realized the hatred over the Xmas issues. From people who spend money.
People I dealt with for a long time refuse to do anything due the wheel. Personally, I was paranoid about getting everything. Since I, like many friends, were not able to get everything we have quit anything like a casual as opposed to a daily shot at the game.
EA screwed the pooch on this one.

I don't understand how people can still be a fan of Family Guy. Why it didn't stay cancelled the first time is beyond me.

Also, shouldn't this be in Off Topic?

Maybe due to bias that these are my 3 favorite shows, but thinking creatively and outside the box, there is indeed much worthwhile that can be done with these shows as well... as a creative type in Hollywood my mind is teaming w/plenty ideas that I could approach EA with (and may very well do it, so anyone at EA catching this feel free to reply with interest). Star Wars could and should certainly be done as well, and could be approached from a humorous angle as has actually been done outstandingly by the Family Guy team, and as I hear may be visiting w/The Simpsons...

A couple creative bones to throw out: they could even make bridges / portals (for those interested in visiting Quahog or South Park) from Springfield, and then continue w/limitless character crossovers venturing on quests and product trades b/w towns, not to mention further holiday events...
which by the way again, I wish to note could/should be longer:
I didn't want to lose the Winter setting so soon & sure wasn't ready for the 'instant winter thaw' ending of holiday season fun... was getting the 'update required' notice & figured it was another automatic short update, not the full system reset of the season; would have been great if a notification came up asking 'if you want to exit the Holiday Season game or continue to with it?. It's nice to see the green, but I hope it might return to complete the real season via more weather updates / snowstorms; Winter setting was really cool (literally). Seasons should fully mirror the real ones by date & global user locale in my book... also, would be nice to have sounds for a couple other characters like Millhouse (his silly uncomfortable groans would be swell)...

As a fellow creative type in Hollywood (can you believe there's more than one of us? I know!) I have to disagree on a few things here, specifically the portal/bridge thing.

Family Guy Tapped Out, King of the Hill Tapped Out, South Park Tapped Out, Futurama Tapped Out, etc. can't be connected to Simpsons Tapped Out for many reasons. #1, it would turn Donuts into a universal currency. Now, I don't pretend to know all contracts/licenses/how STO works from a financial point of view, but there would be an issue with, lets say, buying 132 donuts for $10 and using them to buy one simpsons character and one king of the hill character, for example. The only way it ends up working is for us not only spending more per donut pack, but getting less donuts per pack simultaneously, a lose lose situation for us.

Another reason is that not everyone likes Family Guy/The Simpsons/Etc. this game is already pretty big, takes up a lot of space, and has giant updates. Imagine multiplying that by how many other games are connected to it. Plus the server load of forcing everyone onto the same game.

And last but not least, it would make updates weird. What if we had to wait 4 weeks for a simpsons update due to a South Park update? What if we can't get the fighting chicken in Family Guy because we have to wait for Futurama, King of the Hill, and Mission Hill's update (btw, please Mission Hill Tapped Out please!)? It just wouldn't work too well.

Separate games are better for everyone.
