Final prize help

Question

I am a freemium player, and I am on pace to earn the final prize, Frinkenstein.
I am concerned because I do not have Frink.

Do I need to get him? If so, how?
I do have donuts stockpiled just in case.

Frinkenstein will be a separate character from Frink.... you shouldn't need to have Frink to do something with him.... (and just my 2 cents, wait for the black friday sale and see if Frink is offered at a discount if you're looking to get him).
