Finding fans in friends towns

Over 30 friends

So I guess I am the only heaving problems finding fans ??

I think everybody has problems with fans, but since you only get event currency for 30 fans, I think many skip visiting towns after that.

Friend visits are not worth the trouble of finding fans. I've been waiting until I accumulate a lot of lawyers to do visits which for me is every few days. But otherwise I avoid it. Just the load time for each town is a misery, not to mention all the other issues.

YES! And I thought it was just me thinking it was such a pain.

Load time is quicker with noob neighbors.

I also have been waiting for lawyers to accumulate before going to towns. And I'm not doing my entire friend visit at once, because yes it seems like finding fans is much harder. Many towns I'm taking two and moving on. I'll do a batch until i run out of lawyers then come back later. As long as i visit 30 within 24hrs I'm ok

Hard to find fans in friends towns, takes forever to get to the next town, and, I'm only able to gather fans in 10 friends towns. If this is going to be the norm, I'm never going to buy the card to double up on tapping in friends town again. It's not worth 90 donuts. I like the thought that this is like Coachella, but otherwise, this event isn't worth the time to bother playing. I am playing, but now at the point where I don't care if I don't get all the prizes. It's slow going on winning them, and don't think I'll get all by the end of act one. EA is making these events as hard as nails. They're not as much fun as they used to be.

If you're lucky enough to find Weird Al in a neighbor's town, you can tap him and the fans will run to him. Works in your town, too.

Until you unlock him. I have a couple of neighbors where instead of an accordion Al rotates musical instruments. Tapping him does nothing. I'm about to unlock my Al so we'll see.

Seems almost like most of the effort to set up the timing of the whole event is to prevent people from earning bonuts, while at the same time dangling as much premium content as possible to tempt people to buy donuts. We do get a lot of freebies, so I'm not complaining at all about it. But I know there are people who come up with some pretty clever strategies to maximize their gains from events, and it seems like the limitations are now so strict that the events are less enjoyable. Not to mention the many players who can't log on as often as necessary to complete the event.
