Yea he was gone for like 1 hour and know he's back . So he definitely disappears for a bit . I wonder if he like hiding, and if you find him it's like an Easter egg.

Now I keep logging into my town to check the gnome to see if this is true.

so far all i have seen mine do is have malibu stacy join the elf in the box and make out....never leaves the box though

put the link here it's too small to see but i see what you mean it disappeared lol i see in ... u know ... it's a separate thing in the image so it can disappear glitching cause there's no script to make it go away from its position
