Thats what i try to say, give 1 freemium people to do the task AND if your premium give 1 people more...
Now its 1 premium gets the task and no freemium kid...- 4junk3000New SpectatorI do think all premium items should continue to give extra rewards with each new event. That's what allows premiums to retain their value and encourage future premium purchases. Extra quest lines, etc. Give buyers their moneys worth.
I am all freemium. - Shame on everyone wanting to run a child sweatshop just for Santa!! :P Make the adults do the work instead (at minimum wage, of course...)

One "wiki" says that every second tunnel unlocks "1x premium + 1x freemium" tasks. The other says that sequential tunnels alternate between a task for premium & then freemium.
Either way, by the end it'll be 9 freemiums / 6 premiums, which isn't a bad strike rate. brickevand408 wrote:

Not that I don't have any premium characters but it does seem like there are a number of tunnels that only unlock a premium character. Seems like the advantage for premiums should be double the number of characters unlocked. So, a tunnel would unlock a freemium character for everyone, and then those that have the premiums would also get one of those.
Not a game killer for me though, the present making isn't your main source of presents. All the feds in your town (plus neighbor visits) and your elves should be the overwhelming majority of your present gain.- AnnathewickedRising TravelerEA always tries to get us to buy premiums during xmas events- last year it was giving barney's plow king skin away to encourage buying of him by people who hadnt got him for free, same with SC- how many people like me have arnie's skin in storage because we don't have him............ This is just them doing the same thing this event- different job but same concept.
- Well, I have both a premium and a 100% freemium account. They're both about even right now, though my *freemium* account tends to pull ahead. I think this is due to freemium 'Exxxene' being within the first half of the alphabet and premium 'zsazsaX' being pretty much the last neighbor on everyone's list! A big reason I maintain both accounts so evenly is that I like to note the differences in the two. Makes for an interesting comparison :)
Anyway, premium present making characters so far:
Squeaky Voice Teen
Frink
Moleman
Barney - I'm a freemium player out of financial necessity. I don't mind that the folks who are premium players get extra stuff. After all, they are paying for it. My Springfield is still pretty awesome.

Being freemium doesn't mean we don't get premium things or characters. We get donuts visiting neighbors towns and in other ways in the game. I have SVT. I don't remember how I got him, but he was one of the first characters I got back in 2012. And I have Barney, again, I don't remember how I got him. I save up my donuts until I see something I want. I may save up for Frink, I think he would be a fun character. My most recent premium purchase was Santa's Village. A few months ago I used my donuts to buy Crazy Cat Lady.
I don't stress over the items I don't have. I wouldn't have the land for them anyway, and I have all of the available land. I earn donuts slowly and spend them wisely. I earn game cash easily. I think I have $24,000,000 now. Some of the decorations are huge. Too huge in my opinion. Even if I spent real money for the game, I wouldn't want the Springfield sign, or Mount Carlmore or the giant magnifying glass or the escalator to nowhere or any of the other huge decorations.
Some of the things I'm curious about, I see in my neighbor's towns, and that is enough. I don't need them .- So I was thinking I should elaborate a bit more from my earlier post...
I see no great advantage in being a premium player during events. I only have premium SVT on both accounts but according to that nifty presents chart I'm about 2 days ahead of schedule to attain all the prizes at this point. And, y'know, I don't really feel like buying any of those other present making characters because they just don't appeal to me...(I only listed them earlier as an informative tip) I am an avid player of this game, log on everyday, never rush tasks with donuts, buy what I like, and enjoy the hell out of both my accounts. And there are just so many varying factors like amount of premium characters, amount of time playing, do you hack? Do you spend $$$? Etc etc, but either way, in my estimation, the playing field isn't offset too badly by the 'premium' route.
To the OP; I do agree it is a little unfair of EA but do not despair! So far I'm finding all prizes attainable on my freemium, so that must be a good sign. And if it turns into even more of a grind later, c'est la vie then I'll try my best...have fun playing all!
