Glitchy Future
from what ive seen 1) these recent glitches dont even compare to the ones we used to see and 2) the old bad glitches were never resolved quickly. So all the patches and updates are actually a good sign.

Necroing this thread to change my answer. I gave them the benefit of the doubt with the wild west that all the glitches were from such major changes. But considering I've been thrown out of my game at least a dozen times today (I've never experienced crashes before), I'm getting a little concerned that they're putting speed of releases and quantity over bug checking and quality.
Quite honestly, the quality of events has massively improved over past events. Christmas 2014 was referred to as Glitchmas.
I realize there are still glitches, however they do deserve some credit for fixing the massive server issues and loss of event currency etc. that used to happen. Force closing and restarting devices was a regular and daily part of game play.
Hopefully they continue to improve the game quality. Part of the issue now is that the game is so big that older devices can't keep up. Personally, I've only crashed once this event.

What I mean is, while I know every event usually has a glitch or more, that it seemed that EA had been getting better and better at figuring out what they were doing. No one was expecting another "glitchmas", right? That's how far they were improving. Now I think, even with that improvement, they are dropping the ball a lot more.Johnny2bd wrote:

Is the Wild West event our first look at a new glitchy experience with TSTO? Is EA's new schedule for releases messing with the quality of the releases? (I mean technical more than storywise. But, story, too.....)
We've had two app-store updates and 5 patches since the start of the event. They weren't game stopping glitches, I guess, but still it makes me wonder if these are happening because of a forced schedule.

From what I can tell, this game is just really resource hungry. My iPad Air can barely run this game now a days. That's a bit frustrating considering it's not that old of a device. I think it may have to do with their game engine.
I've been saying this before, but I think they need make their game engine more efficient. This isn't a live action game for it to be this glitchy. My frame rates are just awful, and visiting friends is nearly impossible because of all the crashes.
All I can say is, this game isn't friendly towards heavy city designers. Considering that the game is only going to get bigger, I see more frame rate issues, especially during events. But let's see what happens. Maybe they'll fix that soon.

I suspect it might have something to do with the superhero design trees. Seeing a little bit of lag isn't unusual for me during events, but this one lags, and skips way more than I've seen in the past - and it never crashed on me before this event, let alone the 5+ crashes I'm presently getting a day.
Talk about your The Simpsons: Tapped Out experience with other TSTO players.
