Golden Scratcher worth it?
The last time I bought 5 I ended up 13 donuts short of the $4.99 package. But.. the time before that I only bought one and won 50. Total crap shoot!

Yep, but the break even point is $10, at which point your expected outcome is the same either way. When spending more than $10, you should buy the fixed amount of donuts. When spending less than $10, you are better off buying scratchers.
