There's a shock. I am truly sorry for your loss, and here's to hoping the (few) threads I've read on here about EA customer service actually doing GOOD for a player apply in your situation. By all means, even if you part ways with the game, please keep the forum updated as to your progress (or lack thereof) in recovering your town. I'm sure many people would be interested. Good luck, and best of wishes.
Adios Amigos!
On April 19th, I notified EA that my Springfield was obliterated.
I was at level 33, had a carefully laid out town and was a couple days into the Easter Event (happily squashing bunnies), when I was suddenly unable to log on/ connect with server (the dreaded Bart screen). On everyones best advice, I reinstalled my game- AND WAS AT LEVEL 8!
Since notifying EA (via the totally unsatisfactory chat mechanism), I was told it would be 1-2 days, 3-4 days, etc. before I would be "assisted".
Finally on April 28 I was contacted by a non-bot (seemingly) to ask about the problem (again). Stephen G.
(EA Customer Experience) finally assured me that the "studio team" would look into it and he would "be in touch".
Since then-Nada!
By this time I have gone through all 7 stages of loss and have decided to end it all- Springfield-wise.
I can never hope to feel confident this will not happen again, so could not really enjoy the game without apprehension.
Call it EA-PTSD if you will.
Thanks to all my former neighbor-eenos for including me- you may all unfriend me forever.
I will post again in the future to let everyone know how or even if EA resolves the issue.
