Halloween Comparison 2013 v 2014

I think you forget not everyone was playing when THOH 2013 was out, therefore the "new items" for the 2014 event would only be considered new for those who were playing last year. People who started playing in 2014, all these would be considered "new"

The ghosts really slowed down my device a lot more for Halloween 2013. Other than that it was a good event.

This update sucks....period.

I won't get as many free donuts this year, but I'll still have a good haul.

I think they got really lazy with this update. I do like the crafting concept, but the prizes are lame. I was hoping for a new KL ride or a werewolf skin for Flanders. I wanted more prizes from memorable THOH episodes and not the terrible Avatar parody.

They did not give us a lot of new stuff with this update, there is a lot of 2013 and 2012 rehashing. 2013 was better in my opinion but I do not hate 2014.

To me it's the lack of "new" content for us players that have been playing for over 2 years.
But I really liked the mechanics of this year THOH, the way you can choose what you craft
is really great, I do miss last years animations.

Think that this event keeps players engaged for longer, last yr a few big premium neighbours got all their personal prizes early and then stopped playing. This forces players to remain active and helping each other with grems.

Would have loved to see maybe some skins for buildings or other characters, maybe for those without skins already to add variety. Skinner and the School be a good combo n thus a questline for Skinner, Willie, Bart and Lisa plus others.

2013 was a hard act to follow but so far they are doing pretty well. They seem to be positioning the game for long term success rather than releasing content as quickly as possible, which bodes well for the game's future. Perhaps we don't have enough information to make a complete judgement quite yet. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling EA has more new content in store for us and we'll want to revisit this topic when the event is actually over.
