yes that was a wonderful time, having to make sure that you logged in every XX number of hours or you wouldn't be able to craft everything as the timer would run out and it would cost a rather large amount of donuts to attain the last few prizes (at a time when donuts hard to come by for free via farming), I've just returned to the game from an extended break caused by the fact that I went through multiple roll backs trying to get my game working correctly and it never fixed it (some bits are still broke) but I can currently work around the problem, I always loved the Halloween event (part of the reason I decided to return at this time of year) and with missing last years I was expecting much more of last years content to be available to purchase but it seem to be mostly stuff from many years ago that I already have, oh well it makes it easy to complete the event, should have the last prize from the first part in around 2 hours, easy peasy no grinding involved.
I get that "easy events" are good for casual players, and maybe that's why they've gone that way now, though I suspect it's more laziness than good intentions.
As a hardcore player, though, these easy events are a snooze. It should take longer than 2 days to complete a week's worth of activities!
