I am hoping they would just do it for an entire season, a couple of months instead just during an event.

I think it did last a little longer than just the event last Christmas. I can't be sure but I think the snow stuck around for a week or two longer :?

It would be interesting if they would change the look of the town seasonally, with trees and other decorations changing, weather changing, etc. so it's not the same old Springfield all the time. I know sometimes they change to fit the event but it'd be more interesting to have it fit real-time to the seasons.
