Hey, EA, About Those Rose Bushes...

this sucks so much

last Vday i didn't even care to complete the quests to get every item. Instead i spent every heart i had on rose bushes because i thought they looked awesome and wanted them for decorations for my town.
then they go and change them to this ugly mess and now i don't even want any in my town and it makes me upset that i missed out on getting the lovely hammock last year because now i would much rather have one of those than all my rose bushes.

i love last years rose bushes. this year they are lumpy bumpy out of shape ugly things. i hate them.

Why sell them when EA can just as easily restore them to their former glory?

I'm with ya I missed last years so I'd like both not just this new one.

Another vote for last year's design. The new ones look genetically modified!

What EA appear to have done is actually much easier than that. Essentially they have replaced the image file in the game resources. As far as the game is concerned, this year's rose bush is the same one as last year's but they have changed the image that the resource points to ... hence the existing ones have all changed as well.

If the rosebush object in the game is using "rosebush.png" (for example), then replace that file with another and every rosebush in the game now looks different (you could make them all look like sports cars if you wanted to).

The "fix" is as simple as putting back the original image file.

I'm normally against dredging up old threads, but with Valentine's Day around the corner I believe this should be brought back to the table. In preparations for VD, I humbly suggest that EA give us back the original, cooler rose bush design.

There now fugly. I put most of it back in inventory. I really hate how ea changes things when the first concept worked so well. I don't like the new red wall also especially when they don't connect corner to corner.

I like the old ones better. The newer are sloppy. I still like them in a way but not the same. Maybe offer 2 different kinds of rose bush?
