Makes sense to save them if you complete the current phase and next one hasn't opened yet. Still to early for me to tell if I'll make the deadline for phase one or not.
25 Rods - 1st heart
75 Rods - 2nd heart
150 Rods - 3rd heart
250 Rods - Total
Would be good to be able to just save the last heart and hoard.
