Honestly? Why Does Everyone Go Crazy for Friends?

I am playing solo and often wondered if I was missing out on a big part of the game, but I have no immediate plans to change my strategy. I do not get to clean graffiti, but if I visit "other Springfield" on a regular basis I can keep my social star rating at 5. My obedience is down a star even though I have all the non premium buildings, maybe that would be affected by visiting friends.
I did get a ton of friend requests recently when I showed a screenshot that included my lemon tree, they must still think it can be stolen. Lol
  • Its nice for a little extra money and experience but too much of a pain to go into each Springfield to do the three tasks. I only have maybe 30 friends. That's enough.
  • visiting 95 friends takes around 45mins-1h and you make an average of 1000$

Lot of misinformation here. Each visit is $48, so visit 100 friends make $4800 a day. I can do it in 20 minutes. It's worth it.

It takes me longer than 20 minutes (I sometimes linger to see what people are doing with their towns), but I agree its worth it.

But I also see at least a kernel of truth in DoeMoe's observation that a small minority of gamers seem to evince an almost desperate need to acquire friends when, at least in my experience, it's not all that hard to relatively quickly max out at 100.
  • IMO I think it can be worth getting "friends".

But I think if you go the whole way and get 100 "friends" it can be a very useful way to get extra $ and XP but you'll just have do you're tapping quickly or you'll take a month of Sundays getting through all of your "friends" Springfields.

However, if you want to have a gander at other people's Springfields just keep the number down and enjoy having a nose around!
