Some actual game discussion instead of whining about what is or isn't going on- thoughts on house farming? OK until all quests complete?
I had a house farm of about 100 blue houses and some purple houses until I got all the land then I got rid, it's ok for gaining money easily in the begining but it does look awful.- I used the Blue houses to get easy cash when I was lower level. Now I have White houses so friend have something to tap when they visit. As new buildings are added, I remove some of them for the space.
- I don't house farm, but if people want to okay the game that way, I'm not stopping them.
I have 6 blue houses together, which are just there until I buy all the land which will be in a month or two but I don't think that would count as a house farm, really. - DigitalBagginsNew NoviceI say Play the GAME HOW YOU WANT. if you want 1k house so be it. I did it till i uncovered all the land if i lost a few neighbors by doing it then oh well. but Its my game and I play it the way I want to.
IMO if it was not meant to be then EA would have limited you to one of each house type. End of discussion. its a game mechanic if you choose wisely you will see that and you might even take advantage of it. - I have around 30 purple houses as one neighborhood and 40 blue houses as another neighborhood. I've put plenty of space between each house so that cars could drive through the neighborhoods and I've put lamps inbetween each house to give them a less clutter.
My neighborhoods look really nice and it gives my city a realistic feel with sections where people actually live. - Some peoples' house farms make my game go super slow when I visit their towns.
The closest I have is 11 white houses, but they are separated in 2's and 3's to make it look like bigger white houses (condos) in a walled in community on the ocean front. It's good for money and looks nice!

Exactly.
I can understand why people would house farm at lower levels. It feels like a lot of grind to make cash, in the beginning. But by the time a person has access to the blue house and then white, they can start making mixed and natural-looking neighbourhoods, and still accomplish much the same thing.- I farmed in the beginning. Once I bought all of the land I sold off my farm.
Sure it looks crappy. At the same time, I've seen plenty of nonfarming towns that look like crap.Snakeyees wrote:

This is it exactly. - I didn't house farm and I'm happy I didn't. It caused me to progress through the levels more slowly, but now as a top level player with nothing to do but wait until the next update I appreciate having something to save up for and quests to be working on instead of the random 'Grow Tomacco' or 'Have Snake Con Old People' tasks that aren't connected to anything. Having said that, I can appreciate the positives of house farming, especially for newer players wanting to generate cash more quickly and also have more buildings available for neighbors to tap for friendship points.
When people are at Level 39 with all of the buildings, land, and aspirationals, but still have a giant house farm right in the middle of their town...now that I don't quite understand!
