- There is nothing lazy about house farming. I had a side town filled with 1000+ white houses. It took 20 minutes a day, twice a day to clean it. It was a nice side project between updates. It also has 100 more doughnuts then my other side towns.

I farmed in the beginning. Once I bought all of the land I sold off my farm.
Sure it looks crappy. At the same time, I've seen plenty of nonfarming towns that look like crap.Snakeyees wrote:
IMO if it was not meant to be then EA would have limited you to one of each house type. End of discussion. its a game mechanic if you choose wisely you will see that and you might even take advantage of it.
This is it exactly.
Funny and a point that nobody seems to ever make in this never ending debate. I don't judge other people's towns but don't critique my house farm when you have Moe's right next to Springfield elementary or the penitentiary across the street from the Simpson's house. To me that's way more lazy/tacky/offensive than a house farm. BUT I give everyone the benefit of the doubt because (like me) maybe they don't have the time/inspiration to get their town looking "just right". Tsto is an ongoing process. mpwarner wrote:
No issue with them as long as they've attempted to design the rest of their town and put it at the edge :P
I agree with MR Warner here :) As long as the farm is out the way so you can see the town easily and not have to scroll for ages to find the town lolGodbless598 wrote:
I'm not sure why it bothers anyone if I house farm or not. It doesn't effect anyone's game. I needed a way to earn money, it annoyed me to wait to do anything, due to lack of cash. I have been deleting houses as I go now. And when I get the time to redo my town, they will go totally. I'm not that good at decorating, so my town will never be as nice as some I have seen. But really, lazy... You couldn't have a better friend I visit everyone's town at least six days a week, I keep up with reading the forum. If someone is that upset due to the fact I house farm, delete me, I am sure I wouldn't even notice. Besides there is a ton to click on my town, so it's no struggling to find something to click. 1. 2. 3. And your done. How nice is that lol.
It's only irritating when you can't tap what you want because the house are so cramped together. But I can't complain as I have done it in a small way myself. I still have a group of houses at the bottom of my SF but no extra land to integrate them. You are a brilliant neighbour and I'm more than happy to have you on my list :D- Some are a little snobby now aren't we? Who cares what others do in their world? If you don't like it then don't visit. Being all high and mighty such is so unbecoming.
- JedihntrNew SpectatorI just got rid of my farm the other day, and I've been playing since the Android launch. I had about 80 blue houses, in a neat grouping that ran along the mountains, and almost looked like a series of solar panels. It blended in extremely well with my town, and that's what it comes down to. If you can be creative with your farm and not have this mass of houses that fill up 2/3 of your land, I don't see why it's a bad thing.

Here is my second town I've been looking into sporadically since Christmas. Started with 56, now 112 blue houses. I think the rest of the town is decent and currently have better than 1 million in-game cash there, so I could probably buy some more land at some point.https://tsto.me/s/nmatzke
IMO, house farming is fine, as long as you try to tuck them away and keep a tidy SF otherwise.- Yeah i just delete people with house farms, i don't have alot of time to visit friends. It's hard enough to find the 4 graffiti buildings as it is with out trawling through 100's of houses
- Ironically, I didn't have any kind of house farm until I was already maximum level. At Christmas, when you needed to tap a building for the presents I added a section of brown houses to give my neighbors a better chance of getting something. When they friendship points started back I put a smaller version back in. While I don't like it in my SF, I do like knowing none of my neighbors are going away empty handed when they visit.
I also have a neighbor (I don't remember the name now) who built a house farm around the perimeter of their town with pink houses. It is eight or nine houses deep and makes the perfect Homer "donut". - I agree it is lazy, looks horrible and deserves an unfriending. I played through without a farm, others can too. Back in my day we saved up $200,000 for the post office by sending characters on tasks and collecting as often as possible.
Right now I've been trimming out the inactive friends (towns where I have nothing to click on, stuck on level 38, characters walking around doing nothing).
Forum friends are keepers though.
