The game wouldn't connect for 3 days and I couldn't complete gingerbread house or get patches and poor violet. I'm more annoyed it was because I couldn't connect than at not finishing.
I did get the ski chalet but only because I bypassed the clam sign.
I have a feeder town, but it was not bows that limited me.
