- Paid donuts to finish bc I had a sneaking suspicion things I wanted would disappear.
- I finished everything, but not as quickly as I do in other events. I think I had 2 days left and got bonuts twice. I got one each of the crafting items but I wish they stayed into Act 2 because I wanted multiples of the chalet and igloo.
- No feeder town.
I had some of the craftables from previous Christmas events, so only crafted those I didn't have already.
Kinda concerned with this act being heavy on the bows - fairly sure I'm gonna miss out on a lot here because of difficulty in getting bows. - I've got all Act 1 prizes 3 days 13 hours before its end and was able to get 1 bonus round. I would have one more but I lost more than 1300 hats after reaching the last prize. Should be careful with that in Act 2.
Crafted all I wanted except the second Ski Chalet (thought I buy it later). No task rushing, no second rounds on tasks for Snowman and Gingerbread House, no Duff Arena, no second town. - I finished everything and had enough hats for 1 round of bonuts. I think I had almost every premium character available for doing the snowman/gingerbread house except for Chester and Hank. I would send ALL characters to do those tasks as I could to maximize hats, not just 0/4 or whatever to meet the minimum requirements. No Duff arena.
I crafted the snow people and chalet as I had the bows/baubles. After looking at how the crafting was being broken down on the wiki, I decided to not chance it (and since no one could answer if materials carried over here on the forum) I decided to craft the clams sign and igloo. I didn't particularly want them, but I decided to make them so I didn't miss out. - I was less then 3 hrs short of fully upgrading the gingerbread house and missed out on Patches and Poor Syliva. I really wanted them and would have needed about 250 donuts when it ended. I would have paid up to about 60 for them.
My game didn't update to start the event until it was almost 3 day in to it. Think I did well considering. Evilized6666 wrote:
I got everything done in act one plus one round of bonus donuts, with 2 or 3 days left over.
It was easy enough, I find it easy enough to take my cell phone out every 4 hours or so to check my town. I even missed a day because I was doing Ned's 24 hour task from the ski lift the same day I finished the snowman, so I had to wait to start the gingerbread house questline.
What stops everyone from being able to take out their phone? If work has a policy against it make a quick bathroom trip or smoke and lunch breaks, start when u wake up, hit it up again at lunch, and again after work and you can easily finish.
This.
I was easily able to finish everything, plus a round of bonus donuts, and I don't have many premium characters. I just always had the Snowman/Gingerbread/Hot Squishee tasks running with as many characters as possible.
I did miss out on buying the Fever Cabin and Snowmen, but no biggie.- got everything done in act one with 4 days to spare, got everything crafted I wanted to do, had enough to do the clam sign and igloo but wasn't interested in either of those, I saved mine up so I could get the tree farm and efcot center done in act 2....I have a feeder town but I only used it once cause its too much of a pain in the * to go back and forth on the tablet...
- Beacuse we have decided not to take the tablets to the bedroom (we were always late for work), I have missed out on quite a lot (no gingerbread house, and no poor kids and no Ski House).
Doesn't bother me with Act 1, but since Im more interested in buildings than characters, and there are 3 buildings in Act 2, Im thinking of sneaking my iPad up under the covers. - I completed everything in act I with days to spare and used all the premium characters to do so as well as two feeder towns. I have my main town on my iPhone 6+, a feeder town on an iPad mini, and a new feeder town on my shiny new Amazon Fire tablet I picked up from best buy on black friday.
My squishy bar is level 20 now :D I didnt pursue any bonus donuts but instead took some downtime to relax and get ready for act II. I too looked on simpsonswiki and read LPNs posts on here and summarized myself that its better to err on the side of caution and crafted everything in act I before it ended.
For me, it was understood that the craftables would change in act 2 so i planned accordingly.
Now we are in act II and everyone knows what to expect so lets all enjoy it for what it is and craft our rears off till we're done and enjoy Christmas :D
